We love to throw parties! Hosting kid book clubs is a favorite excuse for throwing a party. We love the creation and thought that goes into the planning as we read each book with our kids.

Reading is such an important thing in each of our families. We love to encourage our kids to become readers. We also love to read as a family. Being able to enjoy a book together is so special. The adventures we go on and the places we imagine together create timeless memories that we hope will live on forever!

Kid Book Club Beginnings

This all started many years back when we wanted to throw a party and decided to read “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” with our kids. Our kids, young and old, loved the story and we loved the time that we spent together reading the book. The party was a blast! We couldn’t wait to do it again.

That’s how our book clubs were born! With the next book club, we added a little more educational value but kept the fun. Using our creativity to think up wonderful activities to go with each book is such a joy. We are always looking for new books and adventures to go on as a family.

Why host a children’s book club?

Reading with your kids can be such a joy! The more we understand the stories, the more fun reading becomes. That's why book clubs are so great—they make reading exciting and help us really connect with the books.

We put together bundles to help you get the most out of your reading! Inside each bundle, you'll find things such as a book club guide, discussion questions, invitations for your book club, and fun activities to go along with each book.

You can use these kid book clubs for all sorts of occasions. The activities are flexible, making reading enjoyable in different scenarios. Just plan a simple activity, and you’ve got a fun activity ready to go!

How the Grinch Stole Christmas

A classic story loved by all ages that our family cherishes! We really enjoyed planning this book club. It made for the perfect Christmas kick-off. We dressed like Who’s, had a feast, and set out on a quest to show the Grinch how much fun Christmas is!

Over and Under the Snow

A magical book full of wonder and beautiful illustrations. We love this series! This book club was all about exploring the winter world. We love how this book gave us ideas of what to look for on our outing and what to imagine is underneath the snow.

Over and Under the Canyon

Another part of this book series, “Over and Under the Canyon,” added educational value and excitement to our family vacation. The vibrant illustrations and exploration of desert animals encouraged us to look for the unexpected all week. If you love nature, this book club is for you!

A group of children and an adult are gathered around a table with papers, small bowls of materials, and tools. The children are focused on creative tasks, and the adult is assisting. The scene is indoors with natural light coming from the windows.

The Borrowers

We loved this movie as kids. What better way to introduce our kids to the Borrowers than to read the book? This book club provided us the opportunity to broaden our kids' vocabularies all while we fueled their imagination. The activities we created for this book club are so fun! Our kids ask us to do these activities again and again.

Four young girls are painting at a wooden table outdoors during sunset. The focus is on a book titled "The Hundred Dresses" by Eleanor Estes, displayed prominently in the center. Several lit candles and small vases of flowers are on the table.

A wonderful book about kindness and understanding, the story became a classic for our girls. We did a special book club just for them with this book. This book club is perfect for opening a conversation with your kids about kindness. When we finished the book we created our own dresses and had a tea party.

Three young kids are seated at a table engaged in different activities. One girl is holding a white tube and pouring a liquid, while another uses a spoon to blow bubbles from a cauldron. The third stirs the cauldron as part of their Witch's Brew Sensory Play. Various items are spread on the table.
