We have some Easter activities for kids that help our families have a Christ centered Easter season. Additionally, we gathered many other Easter activities for kids that we think are great ideas. This way you have all of the Easter activities in one spot.
A Christ Centered Easter
We are each striving to teach our children about Jesus Christ on a daily basis. This is why celebrating Easter with a focus on Christ is so important to us. We think reading the story of Easter from the scriptures is only one way to welcome this narrative into our holiday.
As our children grow, we often find ourselves looking for new ideas and other ways to remember Jesus Christ while celebrating His sacrifice for us and His resurrection.
Sometimes it is easy to get caught up in the cute baby animals and eggs during Easter time. However, finding simple ways to include the Savior in our celebrating makes it easier to refocus.
That’s why we have collected some great ways to celebrate Easter and spring while having a focus on Jesus Christ.
In Our Homes
There are 6 of us. So 6 homes that celebrate and focus differently. In addition to sharing what things we do in our homes at Easter, we wanted to share some resources we use year-round to keep a Christ-centered home.

Special Easter Egg
Another favorite idea for Easter activites for kids —a special Easter egg. Get a special egg for your kids’ Easter baskets. You can do a wooden egg, plastic egg, or any other kind of egg you want that you can fill. Then, decorate that egg to represent Easter. Either with an Easter scene, such as the tomb or the cross, or with a beautiful spring scene.
Next, you are going to fill it with a religious gift that is symbolic of Easter. This can be a special treasure. Some ideas for fillers are a CTR ring, a mustard seed necklace, a nail, a small note, a picture of Christ, or even a WWJD bracelet. Whatever you choose for this special gift will surely open the conversation about Easter and the reason for celebrating.
