This party was pink. Really pink. If your girl isn’t into pink, you surely can create a spa birthday party in another color that is just as good. For our birthday girl, pink was the perfect color for all of the things.
Our decorations, props, and food were all pink. The girls LOVED it! Especially the snacks. So let’s dive into how to throw the perfect children’s spa party.

Spa Party Preparations
Preparing for a party beforehand is so important. Especially if you want party day to be stress-free! Below, we’ll walk through how to plan ahead, order supplies, and decorate your space for the perfect spa birthday party.
Send Out Invitations Early
First preparation is to send out those invites. For this party, an RSVP is needed. Once you know the number of guests, you will know exactly how many items to get for each activity. This spa party requires a little prep, but mostly making sure you have enough spa items for each guest to be pampered.
Order Your Spa Supplies
After you know how many guests you will have, you need to order your supplies. You want to give yourself enough time for everything to arrive before you need to set up.
Here is a list of items we purchased for our spa birthday party. Later in this post, you can read about how we used each item.
Plan Your Decorations and Layout
Another big part of your prep is deciding on decorations and how to set up your space. In the next section, we’ll share how we decorated and styled our kids spa birthday party.
When planning decor, remember: however long you think setup will take, double it! For example, we’ve built balloon arches many times and know roughly how long they take. We usually make them one to two days before the party.
Balloon Tips and Tricks
For our spa party for girls, we used bubble balloons in our balloon arch and around the space. They looked adorable, but added more time than expected. They also didn’t hold air as long as standard balloons—so learn from our experience!
If you’re using bubble balloons, fill them as close to party time as possible while still allowing yourself enough time to decorate. These are definitely not last-minute decorations, but they’re worth the extra effort for such a cute touch.
How to Decorate for a Spa Party
This spa birthday party was all about creating a calm mood with decorations that felt soft, playful, and a little bit extra—in the best way.
Balloon Arch
We started with a balloon arch in soft pinks and purples, layered onto a fabric-covered frame to make setup easy. Clear bubble balloons added a magical touch.
To dress up the space more, we added printable cutouts to the arch. We used bows, nail polish, and headbands for a wallpaper-style look.
A “Let’s Get Pampered” sign on a pink wall became a cute photo spot, complete with more balloons and a favor table underneath. We even made a foam board tub. It was the perfect touch.

We blew up our play makeup set to be giant nail polish and lipsticks for some tabletop decorations. These tied it all together.
The final touches included a spa activity table with a white tablecloth, pink gauze runner, oversized nail polish props, and silk rose petals.
All of it came together to create a cozy, colorful space that felt super special without being overly complicated. If you’re planning your own spa birthday party, these ideas are easy to recreate—and so much fun!

Par 3: A Golf Themed Birthday Party
Children’s Spa Party Activities
A spa birthday party is a perfect way to pamper your birthday girl and her friends. It combines fun and relaxation. The festivities began with the guests preparing for relaxation. They put on robes and headbands.
Then, we started with avocado clay masks. The girls applied the masks themselves using mini spatulas. As they relaxed, we laid cucumbers on their eyes.
After washing off their masks, they enjoyed a refreshing foot soak with bath salts. The girls took turns scrubbing and moisturizing each other’s feet for the ultimate spa treatment.
As the pampering continued, we let the girls apply some press-on nails. The girls loved choosing what set to put on their nails.
After everyone was feeling relaxed and refreshed, it was time to open gifts. The birthday girl was thrilled to unwrap her presents, surrounded by friends. Then, the party wrapped up with a delicious birthday cake, the perfect sweet ending to a day of self-care and fun.
Spa Party Food Ideas
No party is complete without treats! For our spa birthday party, we picked some on-theme treats that also brought out the colors in the decor. They were so fun!
To display our spa party food, we pulled out our kids’ play market stand. It was the cutest way to show off the fun treats.
We also created some adorable spa party food labels. There are 9 labels for some on-theme food for your spa birthday party. You can either use them all or pick and choose what you want, but the best part is that they all match. (And are adorable!)
The food at this spa birthday party was so cute! Here is what we had at our spa party, with themed names that the girls just loved!
- Nail File: Strawberry-flavored Wafer Cookies
- Cotton Balls: Jumbo Marshmallows
- Loufa: Purple Cotton Candy
- Bath Bomb: Freeze-Dried Nerd Clusters
- Bubbles: White and Red Freeze-Dried Gummy Bears
- Bath Salts: Nerds
- Chocolate Dipped Strawberries
- Fruit-Infused Water
Cake
No party is complete without a cake. For this party, we went simple and made a multicolored layered cake. With minimal frosting and a white chocolate drip. Having a cake that matched the decor was an easy addition to the party.
Spa Party Food Labels
The food labels also include a label for a cucumber sandwich. We didn't make these for our spa birthday party, but you definitely can!
You can get these spa party food labels from our Etsy shop.

Spa Birthday Party Favors
For our spa birthday party, we created some spa-tacular party favor tags! We hadn’t decided on what the party favors were going to be, so we just kept creating.
In the end, we ended up creating 8 different party favor tags! You can grab any of them in our Etsy shop or all of them in our party bundle.
Printable Spa Party Party Favors
There are so many options, you will definitely find one to work for whatever your party favor choice is.
For our spa birthday party favors, we created a spa bag for each girl. We got these adorable pink bags and filled them with goodies.
Our spa birthday party favor bags had the following items in them.
- Nail File
- Cuticle Stick
- Press-on Nails
- Foam Flip Flops
- A Brush
We used the long luggage tag style tag for these bags. Then, in front of the bags, we had a few other party favors set out.
We used the fold-over tags to hold a bag with a bath bomb in it. Also inside that bag, we had the cute double-sided party favor tag with a small scrunchie on it.
Next to the party favors, we had some spa headbands for the girls to use during the party. Then they could take them home with their bags.
These party favors turned out so perfect for our spa birthday party. It was the perfect way to thank our guests for coming.
