Each animal is beautifully hand-painted to work as handprint mothers day crafts for kids of all ages! We have used them with ages 0-12! They look great with each sized hand. This is one handprint mother's day craft you’ll love to revisit every year.
Here's how to turn this farm animal artwork into perfect handprint keepsakes.
Step 2: Print on Cardstock
Next, you print the animals of your choice. Our kids loved being able to pick which animal they got to make. Or have them do all of the animals! We suggest that you print each page on a sturdy piece of cardstock. This way, the handprint crafts for Mother's Day won’t get wavy from the wet paint.

Step 3: Paint Those Hands
Then, you are going to paint your child’s hand. Get creative! We painted hands using more than one color to help the handprint match the style of the water-colored animals.
We used acrylic paint and small paintbrushes for a great color variety. Acrylic Paint dries quickly, so you will want to paint their little hands as quickly as possible.
Pro-Tip: For making handprint crafts for preschoolers, we noticed that if the kids had just washed and dried their hands, the paint didn't seem to dry as quickly and we used a thick layer of paint to help slow down the drying speed.
Step 4: Stamp the Handprint
Press your painted hands (or feet for the bunny) onto the paper, aligning with the printed body outline. Once dry, you’ll have a beautiful piece of mother's day handprint art!
Use these pages as wall decor, keepsakes, or frame them as the sweetest handprint card for Mother's Day.
