Pumpkin Rice Krispie Treats

Fall is the perfect season for crafting and baking. What better way to celebrate fall than by making adorable pumpkin-shaped Rice Krispie treats? These treats are not only delicious but also a fun activity for the whole family. With just a few ingredients and some creativity, you can whip up a batch of these pumpkin treats in no time. Let’s get started!

Materials Needed:

• • 5-6 cups of Rice Krispie Cereal
  • 4 tablespoons of Butter
  • 16-ounce Bag of Marshmallows
  • 6 ounces of Orange Candy Melts
  • Reese’s Minis
  • Green M&Ms
  • Food-Safe Gloves

Begin by adding the butter to a large pot. Melt the butter and continue to cook it until the color is brown and begins to smell nutty.

Once the butter is browned, add the marshmallows to the pot and stir until they are completely melted. While the marshmallows are melting, take a separate bowl and place the candy melts in it. Melt them in the microwave, stirring frequently to ensure even melting and no burning. When the marshmallows are fully melted in the pot and the candy melts are a creamy texture, stir the orange melts into the marshmallows until the mixture is evenly colored.

Remove the pot from heat and add the Rice Krispie cereal to the mixture. Stir until the cereal is completely coated with the marshmallow mixture. Let the mixture cool a small amount before you continue with the next step. Put on your food-safe gloves and mold your Rice Krispie treats into pumpkin shapes. Be careful not to press too hard; you want them to be fluffy and not hard. After you form them all into pumpkin shapes, poke a small hole in the top of each one to make room for the pumpkin’s stem. 

Now, you are going to allow the treats to cool completely, so they maintain their shape and they don’t melt the chocolate stems. Once they are cooled completely, place a Reese’s mini candy into the small hole as the pumpkin’s stem. Then add a green M&M to create a pumpkin-like appearance!
