Summer is upon us and we are here for it! We love the summer. It is such a fun season with so many activities to do and we have made a free printable bundle with a summer activities list.
We love that our kids are all home from school, but that does mean that we, as moms, are completely in charge of routine and scheduling. This is a great thing but also sometimes difficult! How do we fit in all of the fun and not miss a thing?
Our answer is this summer bundle! This bundle contains a summer activity bucket list, destination destination list, a roll-an-activity sheet, and a summer reading chart.
Roll-An-Activity
This is a great thing to have around your house year-round, but especially in the summer. With the kids home all day, it always happens at some point — they complain they are bored.
All you need is a dice and you have a simple way for the kids to decide an activity. Even if they don’t do the activity listed, they usually pick something they think is “more fun” to do.
This sheet has 18 suggested activities. To pick an activity, you simply roll the die. Then, pick one of the 3 activities listed by that number. Complete with cute icons, kids of all ages can use this sheet. The activities are full of imaginative, open-ended play! Check out all the fun activity suggestions and grab your summer bundle here.

Summer Books
It’s no secret that here at DIY Family Time, we love reading! We love to encourage our kids to read as well.
For summer, we want to keep reading, so we use this reading chart. It has 60 books to cross off. They can be picture books or chapter books or a combination!
We have a few ways that can make reading extra fun for the family this summer.
Here are some ideas:
- Pick a family read-aloud book. Read it every night before bed!
- Read a book that has a movie. Read the book as a family. When everyone has finished it, watch the movie and compare them!
- Organize a book club for your kids! This is something we love to do! You can check out the book clubs we have done here!
However you choose to read, you can make it fun for the whole family! We also have some lists of books we love you can check out. You can find our favorite kindness books here.
